When the PCI regulations went into effect a few years ago, First Data contracted Security Metrics to provide the certificates of compliance for its merchants. To simplify the application process, reduce billing errors and make the submission of the certificates to the Payment Card Industry, First Data has determined that we can better serve our customers if the PCI compliance is done internally rather than by a third party.
